I have heard about porn addiction. At first, I wondered if people labelled a behavior an addiction so they could continue the behavior throughout the so-called recovery process. Relapse is a part of recovery! However, I saw something quite recently that caused me to adjust my view and consider the possibility that pornography is an addiction. I was showing someone pictures of me . The pictures were on my phone. I wanted an opinion because I want to add more pictures to this blog. To my surprise, the guy was more interested in the pictures on the screen than the real woman, the exact same woman, beside him. He wrenched his gaze from the screen to look at me with an enormous effort and only after I pointed out that I was right there. What if there is something about a screen that draws people in.
